very nice! are you going to get a chiller? how do you feed them?
Sent from my ASUS_Z01BDC using Tapatalk |
No chiller. Room temp is good for them infect I have a heater on the lowest setting just to keep it stable
I feed once a day. So far pretty easy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Wow these guys are super cool. Will they reproduce? Will you need to feed the babies rotifers?
What is their lifespan? Is the aquarium a perfect cylinder? I can't tell if the back is round too. Just curious if they could be kept in something like the IM Nuvo which is slightly larger. |
Definitely a unique setup!
|
Well this new hatchery is the best thing ever for ease of feeding live baby brine. The jellys love it!

I'm interested in testing the waters :rocol: |

are u feeding them any dry food? or just the brine shrimp?
|
Sorry for missing the video this week as I got called out of town for work.
I have two packets of powder food that I have yet to open. So far I have only feed live baby brine, it's super easy and I figure there is nothing to polite the water! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I created a little mini series on how to setup and care for Jellyfish
Smile How to Setup a JellyFish Tank - Tank Log of my Jellyfish Journey I have now been keeping jellyfish for 6 months and love the little guys, I find them extremely relaxing and super easy to care for. My YouTube channel recently hit 1k Subscribers and I'm giving away a JellyFish Art desktop nano tank as a way to say thank you to my followers. This giveaway has sparked up an idea to do a How-to jellyfish series where I walk through all the needed information to successfully setup and keep jellyfish. I'll be updating this thread as I produce more content in the How-To JellyFish series and add tips along the way of what has worked for me! If you guys have any experiences with Jellyfish or question feel free to chime in as we go! I always appreciate sharing knowledge and learning something new. Episode 1: Setup and Cycling your Jellyfish tank. -It's extremely important to fully cycle your tank before adding jellyfish. Many companies recommend waiting 2 weeks, however, I would advise you wait closer to 4 weeks to be safe. - Adding extra ceramic media goes a long way into adding surface area into for beneficial bacteria to go -Using bacteria in bottle such as JellyBio Start, Dr Tims or Bio-Spira are highly recommended to jump start your bacteria cycle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePCFh1WJjwQ Next video/update will be posted Monday. You should tell your wife to enter my jellyfish tank contest Let me know if you have any questions along the way https://youtu.be/LS9p0j5fCtM Your Jellyfish tank should now be cycled and your jelly's acclimated! Next you need to know how to feed your Jellyfish. There is dry powder food and live food. I prefer/recommend feeding live baby brine shrimp as its an extremely nutritious (and easy) way to keep your jellys happy and healthy! https://youtu.be/u_qrlw_rC5A Let me know if you have any questions! |
