Drew blood...
Was trying to move some rocks, and my Cinnamon Clown attacked me, which is not unusual. But this time she drew some serious blood..., and actually took a few chunks out of my hand... BTW, this thing is about 4 inches long, and at least 3/4 inch thick...

I also have little buggers, I mean nippy clowns. Luckily mine are only Ocellaris, but they are relentless nippiers whenever I have to stick my hand into the cube tank. Grrrrr. I feel your pain.

Holly smoke .
My trigger bit me , accidentally , when feeding . Surprised, mine has teeth - yours doesn't |
Actually, she does have teeth, if you look closely at the pic, and very sharp ones at that...

My black percula clownholes will attack me every time my hand is in the tank lost count of how many times blood was drawn

I get bit by Clowns all day long... I wear gloves in some tanks just because of the vicious little turds!

BTW, she regularly lays eggs on the rocks even though there is no male, and guards them. Obviously they don't survive, and are gone in a couple days. Might have been eggs there somewhere today, but didn't see them. She was definitely extra viscous today. Amazingly, no battles with the other fish,... just doesn't like me. Guess they all know to stay away from her. |

a small fly fishing hook with a bit of Mysis on the end will solve that problem , then pickle like a sardine then you can eat the bones . Feed it to your friends and when the ask what it is just say it has cinnamon in it.

I got rid of mine for that exact reason. Little buggers used to frighten the life out of me

I have wanted to huck Mine out the window more than a few times because it bit me really good. But lucky for him it was my first fish in this tank so I let him be.

Yeah, they sure aren't the lovable little nemo fish as portrayed in the movie, haha,... more like ferocious man-eating piranhas.

My Mama Maroon has never bitten the hand that feeds her. Takes runs at it if I mess around too close, but always turns back to the protection of the BTS before committing to the 'bite'. Hand in the tank anywhere more than a foot away from the BTA doesn't phaze her a bit, she couldn't be bothered. And Maroons are supposedly one of the more vicious species we keep, go figure. She's a savvy critter, knows the time every evening when I approach the tank with a spoonful of mysis & brine shrimp. Comes right up close to the surface to get first crack at the goods before the other fishes.
Yellow Tang has taken a swipe or two with his scalpel, but no hits there yet either. |
