New and noteworthy

Dear JL

I would very much appreciate some new updates to the page so I have new eye candy to drool over while I drink my coffee.
I have been suffering withdrawal for the last 2 weeks since it was last updated.

Yours depressedly

:rain:

ReEf BoSs 01-06-2016 03:09 AM

I believe they dont update it for a few weeks around christmas every year. Probably go thru stock to quick.

kyl 01-06-2016 07:48 AM

When I was there on Sunday they said no orders had come in the past two weeks, and probably not till next week?

jlaquatics 01-06-2016 07:06 PM

It's true that over the last few weeks we don't get shipments and this causes the delay in the N&N page.

The page should get an update later today

Thank you for your interest!

Regards,

Jeff

*madly pressing F5 over here*

WarDog 01-06-2016 08:49 PM

Still no update? What are you doing over there Jeff? Really looking forward to the Upcoming Shipments update, as I am in the market for more fish!

rsisvixen 01-06-2016 09:03 PM

Maybe as a suggestion, over holiday periods we could have the page changed to Old & Still here
That way we get (newish)pics of what is still in store and available.

kyl 01-06-2016 11:14 PM

They're updated it looks like.

I take it the upcoming FLA order would be the ORA one?

kind of off topic, but do you think there will one day be a what's in stock list?

Not so much pictures, but more like quantity of fish etc.

jlaquatics 01-07-2016 08:49 PM

Great question!

We already offer updated fish and invertebrate lists (we just haven't heavily advertised that fact yet) and we update them more or less daily. Please email sales@jlaquatics.com for that!

Is that something that gets mailed out as it's updated?

Not at this time. That said, we're planning on putting links at the bottom of the N&N page, and also in a new "N&N Livestock Newsletter" that we will start to send out soon.

Great idea, I'd check the stock list constantly as there are a couple of fish I'm waiting for!

Question, I saw on the N&N page tiger tail cucumbers. It says they stay in the open most of the time so I picked one up Saturday. I drip acclimated for 3 hours per the girl who helped me advice. I placed the cucumber on the sand bed and it slowly crawled along the bottom, an hour later it was hiding somewhere and I've never seen it again. Is this normal? Do they go into hiding at first or could I have a cucumber dying in my tank somewhere...

It's most likely under your rockwork hiding and coming out at night. I have about 4 or 5 tiger tail cucs left in my system and for the longest time, I thought there was just one. There are a few that stick out from their rock hiding places most of the time. Others I only see when lights go off. Hope that helps.

Buy buy buy

Animal-Chin 01-26-2016 04:27 AM

Hey the stock lists are up and look awesome. Why are some bolder and some have prices while others don't? Are these updated per shipment?

jlaquatics 01-26-2016 08:43 PM

I'm glad you like them!

Animals shown in bold are not a part of our normal stock offerings, and thus a price for them is shown.

Regards,

Jeff

Really like the stocking lists, great addition to the site.

duncangweller 01-27-2016 06:09 AM

That is a superb idea. A great addition to the site. Nicely done

jlaquatics 01-27-2016 07:50 PM

I spent some time last night adding the pricing to all the animals on the list - not just the N&N stuff. You should see that come through starting with tomorrows lists.

Excellent. I was going to suggest this but you're really on the ball as usual Jeff.
