Ray, can we expect price increases on those in the new year?

If the USD keeps climbing, yes. We are looking at a purchase rate of 1.40+ in January

Phew. I can breathe a sigh of relief being that I ordered an Apex system+DDR+DOS+WXM for Black Friday from RS!

I always get anxiety between Black Friday and Boxing Day wondering if I bough "x item" at the right time :p

It really makes you miss the rescission

Yeah, the recession hurt a lot of people though. I didn't feel it, so I wouldn't mind it back. It's either strong dollar or low interest rates though, one or the other, pick the lesser of the evil. It's a good time to take that 10-year fixed rate. :D

Unfortunately, 1.4 is just the tip of the iceberg. Expect to see 1.5+ in 2016.

This is a double edged sword. Yes, it makes most of the crap we buy that much more expensive but it's greatly reducing cross border shopping(not just in this hobby but in general) and it will bring MUCH more American tourism and shopping into Canada. After all, their dollar will go a long way.
