Whatever you want to call it

Just wanted to show off some of the rockwork that I and Albert were commissioned to build recently.

Beer bottle for scale... I'm not an alcoholic.

epoxy sucks, so no epoxy lol

its a "special" concrete

RMC 11-19-2015 04:15 AM

Only 1 beer bottle for scale? Typically for this type of application a minimum of 3 would be recommended!

Nice work!

Chase31 11-19-2015 04:19 AM

Just saw ur journal, I need to do mine with it out of water as little as possible since I'm re scaping. I'll be using some epoxy and mostly just setting it but awesome work!

You can do it same day. Tyler and I have done rockwork for people with their existing rock on-site. You just need to be prepared properly and keep the rockwork damp with some towels or newspaper while the cement is curing.

Actually, the stuff we use is a little different; it's quite a bit stickier.

Aquattro 11-22-2015 08:33 PM

Albert, what exactly do you use? Or is it a secret ingredient? I attempted to use the fiji crete once, it ended very badly :)

albert_dao 11-22-2015 11:02 PM

Bit of a secret recipe I've been working on. Next step is making it purple and easier to use underwater. Currently, it works and cures under water as a reinforcement or frag mount, but only under specific direction. I'm trying to make that a bit more foolproof :D

Secrets suck Albert. Am i way off in thinking you and Tyler have a store or some kind of SW related business now? I miss your old place of employment and need another source of livestock and supplies:sad: No more little guys with the one on one kind of service like there used to be

Aquattro 11-22-2015 11:50 PM

Secrets suck, but they make money :) Glad there's something in development to do this kind of thing!

I make rock structures on consignment and can still do installs. Nothing else ATM other than the odd frag sale.

Still havent figured out a name for the product tho

i was thinking "Alberts secret sauce" but that could be bad for sales
