Does-anyone use Schlobster 2 part for dosing?
I tried to find reviews on Schlobster bulk dosing powder (comes in 1G/3x1G pre portioned packets) that you just mix with water.
Do anyone of you guys use this stuff? if so is it working well for Calcium/Alkalinity? |
Works great for me. Same as the BRS stuff. Mixes clear quickly.
|
Been using it for 6 months and no difference to when i was using BRS. I would recommend it.
|
Awesome. Thanks guys. Do you dose the magnesium as well?

I haven't as i am still using some old brs stuff. Will switch when i run out.
|
Awesome stuff been using it for a while now, works well and very convenient. Oh ya, reasonable priced too.
|
I use Shlobster on one tank, and C-balance on the other tank and don't notice any difference. That's a probably a good thing
|
I heard the Shlobster Mag Cloride doesn't stay mixed/or has sediment when mixed with Epsom Salts.
Anyone else experience this? |
Been using it for months now. No issues.

My Schlobster CA was always leaving heavy sediment, so for some reason I started mixing with hot water and no more sediment issues. |
Thanks for the input bud

Thanks for the tips! Mind as well pre heat all the ro mix water to make sure it fully dissolves. It was a good day. My gallon portions of dry mix showed up in the mail and shortly after my doser came! Now I just need the new tank!

Just used it for the first time, after using c balance for a year.
Seems great so far, and cheaper of course. |
...and forgot to mention, we add magnesium to our top off water, but are considering adding another dosing pump
|
Top off water is a not bad way to do it. In general so you guys dose mag daily along with the other 2? Bulkreef supply's video showed them just adding it once you use the gallon of calcium/alk up which didn't make much sense to me. Seems to much of a hit on the system at once
