I'm pretty sure it was a brain coral I saw on A nature channel once that was the size of a house. It made the diver beside it look like a damsel.

In the sense that the species still live and eat. Most amazing thing is that they are like a mammal.

Mineral.

And Instant Ocean for the win.

TimT 06-07-2015 05:48 PM

Since the thread is kinda off topic...

and people still smoke at gas stations.

TimT 06-07-2015 05:52 PM

The biggest corals I have grown are a 12" acropora and an 18" x 14" sunset chalice from a piece 2" x 4".

The ocean is a different story. House sized corals can be common. I've seen table acros 10' across.

One of the biggest Acros I have ever seen in person, from one of our trips to Indo.
There once was a photo from above with me in reference for size to this acro, but no sure where that one has gone;

That's amazing, if they eat fish would they ever swallow a diver?.

Aquattro 06-08-2015 10:04 PM

Corals don't eat a lot of fish :)
