concepts store front will be closed until further notice

Hey all

Sorry to announce this on so short notices but we will be closing our store front for about a month or so for some reno's and staffing changes.

some of you may know that we have been doing some major reno's and the store is just a mess right now:redface: but our tank manufacturing will not be affected

So now on to the good news:mrgreen:

phase one is now all most compete:wink:
our old marine fish system was taken down and revamped for specialty fresh water fish.
http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/a...psm9hej9ag.jpg
http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/a...psewshz28k.jpg

still a little more work left but we are getting there on this system

phase two

i hope this will be something special lol our 16 foot display tank is now gone and will be replace with two new 16 foot coral beds
http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps2dfzhrlf.jpg

this is what i am hoping for but we will see how it comes out
http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/a...psn4kyuek9.jpg

http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/a...psem44yso7.jpg

some major work still left on this system to do

phase three

make a new marine fish room that is hopefully better for viewing

more to come on this project

phase four

seating and planing room with some cool toys and automation from my other business

more info to come lol

phase five

major clean up and redoing the floors and than finally we can have our grand opening with maybe a frag fest thrown in

I hope once we are done you guys/girls can all come by to check out our new look concepts and have some fun

Thanks Dave

ps if any one is looking for a job we have three part time openings i am looking to fill.

sphelps 04-20-2015 05:26 PM

Wretch 04-20-2015 10:39 PM

Looks like it is going to be very nice. Cant wait to see pictures of the finished project.

With the store being closed now will the website be back to full function sometime soon? or is that still a while away?

Doug 04-20-2015 10:52 PM

I look forward to finally making it there. Maybe this time nobody is going to beat the crap outta me on the way there......LOL

lol i think this is round 4 to be honest

it is so bad having a manufacturing plant in the same building , things can happen so fast.

ya fresh water, asian arowana's just happen to be my favor of the month, so i am starting to import them in now.

kien 04-21-2015 05:08 AM

How about some high-end japanese Koi ? It's pond season. Just sayin' boss

kittens ?! WTF? I missed the kittens?? Were they before or after the Discus ? Pretty sure they must have been before the helicopters. Possibly after the RC cars ?

Ha - renos are costly! Well of all the freshwater fish, Arowana's are one of the few I do like. :)

Nate 04-21-2015 03:18 PM

shrimp

There was a brief period of time he was doing little tanks of freshwater shrimp and would answer the phone "amano enterprises" too. It was just before kittens, and after the little known african cichlid breeding operation that pushed into mobiltec ...

Need a set of horse blinders for the guy! (jk dave!)

Didn't you know freshwater is "in" right now

Not to mention since Dave builds tanks for both fresh and salt not carrying freshwater stock and supplies in the store front is throwing away over 90% of the market.

yap hate to say it but fresh water is such a large part of the market it just made sense too also service that part of the industry. It going to have a big learning curve for us but my hope with the way we set up the system with a drip system it won't be too bad

gobytron 04-21-2015 05:33 PM

Seems like freshwater is so much more cost effective.
from import, to distribution to retail.

I wish I had the conviction to learn a whole new husbandry because planted freshwater tanks look amazing these days.

Simons 04-21-2015 07:53 PM

That's why I run both! If you can't decide or choose, but I started in planted freshwater and then put in a saltwater when we developed our basement.

CM125 04-21-2015 11:18 PM

Fish Porn!!!! and lots of it:mrgreen:

no, one of the most complains we hear about is that there is no pricing on corals, but we also don't want writing or stickers covering the tanks. So the plan is to take pic's of all our coral stock and display them on the screen with pricing implanted in the pic's. that way customer can see the the corals and know exact pricing on them with out knowing the names of the corals

hope that makes sense lol i did just drive 8 hours so i might not have explained that right

Thanks Dave

Ryanerickson 06-13-2015 12:45 AM

That's a great idea

dave_C 06-13-2015 01:01 AM

Thanks Dave

lastlight 06-13-2015 03:56 AM

Things are looking great dave!

Myka 06-13-2015 04:00 AM

Are those mirrored panels on the coral system cabinets? I like how the floor reflects off them.

brotherd 06-13-2015 04:01 PM

Wow things have really progressed since I was there a few weeks ago. I like the mirror doors too. The orange line on the floor looks cool. Don't know why I focused on that and not the crazy huge look down tanks lol!

Wretch 06-13-2015 05:56 PM

Dave it looks like you are in desperate need of your tvs, someone has been writing prices all over your new tanks.
