My little Nano
This is my 12"X12"X18"h tankAttachment 14059
This is my sump. It is 12" wide X 30" long X 12 high. Attachment 14060 The stand is a peninsula type with the tank jetting out front. This is to accommodate a coffee table that will sit underneath it. Attachment 14061 As you can see I'm still in the process of getting it wet. Was waiting for the reactors to arrive. Now I have to complete the plumbing. |
My little Nano
The reactors are the Vertex Rx-U 1.5. They will be activated carbon & GFO. The pump is an Eheim compact + 3000. It has a 4" filter sock. Plus I have ordered a sheet of thin high gloss aluminum checker plate to cover the black powder coated stand.

Looks really neat, look forward to seeing the final product.

this should be awesome , great idea !

Finally picked up the skimmer. I bought a Vertex Omega 130. I know it is a little over kill but I was told to always go bigger if I can. Now all I have to do is compleat the plumbing to get it wet. WOO HOO!!!

This is different. I'm looking forward to see how it turns out. Is that a little one-piece eurobrace? Awesome.

My little Nano
Yes it is!! Concept did a awesome design job. Thank all you that have shown interest.

Man trying to update my tank pics but tapatalk won't allow me to
|
Tapatalk is tricky to upload sometimes...drives me bonkers.
|
Is it really a nano if you have a sump that size?
|
I think so. The total water volume is still under 30 gallons. The display is under 10. I guess you be the judge. What would we call it?

Tell me what you think or if you have any ideas please let me know

looks a bit cluttered IMO for such a small tank . I would try and make the branch pieces look like they are coming out of the main rock and remove the top shelf rock , maybe stick the shelf on the front of the main rock with some glue/putty

I see what you are saying. Please keep in mind the tank will only house dwarf seahorses. What if I punch a hole though the centre to have a sort of cave ?
|
You will want to watch the flow from your pump for dwarf seahorses, they are really poor swimmers and can easily get sucked up against the overflow. I had an Aquaclear 20 on a 10g dwarf seahorse tank and I had to put a sponge around the intake because it was too strong for them. I don't miss preparing and feeding live food to them twice a day but they are very interesting to watch.
|
I know I have had them before.

Ok I had to delete the pics I posted due to the fact it would not let me post any more. This is so I can Zhou you the progress. Tell you the truth I don't know how to store more photos like others.
