Saw this and had to take a pic.
Was out in the shop installing a Gyre pump on my 4' x 8' frag tank and thought I'd take a pic of a nice little gem that was glowing ohh so brightly.
I am calling it Seacare's Quadropora as it's Blue/Pink/Yellow with pink polyps. This colony is about 3" across and completely grown in the tank here. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7649/...8ca82f31b9.jpg Here's what a section of the mother colony looked like 3 years ago. Bit of a blue cast to the picture as I had problems with white balance back then. :) https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7048/...1d5453fc54.jpg Both these corals were grown and photographed under 20k radiums. |
Very nice Tim

Thanks Greg and Mindy.
The system went through a few major issues and I think it had something to do with colouration on the Quadropora and the Superman Milli. I removed a bunch of live rock and a 10 year old 3" to 4" deep sand bed out of both 4' x 8' tanks. Then I had a fight with AEFW and also Dino's. AEFW have been gone for almost a year and the Dino's for 6 months or so. It's interesting how corals change colour due to water conditions. Cheers, Tim |
AEFW and Dinos are pretty much as bad as it gets....ugh!
