Should I troll RC?

They used to be a good site, they kicked out some members who made excellent contributions, and they are not a very useful reference any more.

Did you do a similar poll there about trolling here? :)

Ummm what's a troll? When you answer I'll cast my vote.

I was thinking of asking newbie questions about a small species of dolphin in a 180 (temporarily to be housed in a 75). Lots of powerheads at one end so he can swim against the current. And cutting a hold in my centre brace for his dorsal fin.

Craigdillman 02-08-2015 05:57 AM

I laughed

Let the trolling begin - fish only and aggressive tanks forum

duncangweller 02-08-2015 03:40 PM

Not entirely sure what the point is.

I'm pretty sure I know exactly what the point is

NO

For me, I just use RC to look at others build journals to get ideas. RC is way too large and takes too much time to actually find information or answers to my questions. I've heard it has been going downhill and that some members are jerks, but I have no experience with this.

I much prefer being here, an all Canadian forum with good people I can relate to. I've learned a ton and made new friends.

To answer your question, no. Why waste your time? It could be better spent doing WC's, testing, cleaning, viewing your tank, etc.... and yeah, it's kinda immature.

albert_dao 02-08-2015 06:21 PM

Wellp, that was short lived.

I heard Canreef was dead and run by self deluded trolls. Thinkin' you can't believe everything you read :)

RC is a great resource, although a bit big and easy to get lost in the crowd.
