[GVRD] 2nd Annual Reefers Meet & Greet at Mezz, NOV 08 SATURDAY! BEER & CORAL!
 

Hey everyone! Once again this year Albert and I would like to host a frag swap for all of us locals in the GVRD area. Last year was a huge success and everyone had a great time!
The venue which we used last year was kind enough to once again agree for us "reef nerds" a place to host the swap again! They have relaunched the Mezz lounge upstairs and have a large selection of yummy food and beer :mrgreen:

Just like last year, we will have (1), (2) or perhaps (3) tanks setup this year which will showcase all the corals for trades/swaps/sale.

Please, please comment on this thread or PM albert or myself if you plan on bringing corals which you would like to put into the tanks. Last year we QUICKLY ran out of space and we could not house all the corals. This year we would like to accommodate for everyone and have everything more organized. * you are welcome to bring used equipment as well*

ahhh!! same date/time as VAHS monster auction.... tough decision!! I really want to attend this one as well :)

No can do, BV and Mezz Lounge are hosting corporate events the weekends after this and will not be available for some time afterwards.

Yah, we won't be able to get a booking until December if we push it past the 8th. In any case, for those of you who can make it, Thomas, Tyler and I are working out the prize draws and will be announcing them shortly!

We ended around 5pm last time. Should be alot bigger this year and we are planning on doing prize draws every couple of hours instead of stacking them all till the end.

We tried to not have it in the summer again like last year already to avoid everyone's vacations. Darn what luck.

This time there will be 2 tables set up

Will have 4x2 black egg crates as well for $25 for 1 & $45 for 2. Crates will have one corner square damaged from shipping.

Setting up a frag tank soon but for now, Only have a few corals I can swap.
Got a nice neon green birdnest colony the other day from a great guy that I can frag some 1''-4'' pieces ranging 10-25$. Also have a 2 head frogspawn. :biggrin: Hope to meet some new people and hope to see some real eye candy pieces!

Unfortunately, we will not have a venue until December or early 2015 if we reschedule.

how long does the VAHS auctions typically last. Perhaps we could extend the swap or start at a later time?
