I was thinking cladophoropsis but not sure

It's out of control in my nano

Tech m didn't do anything to it

If I didn't know any better I'd almost think it's Chaeto

hfp75 09-29-2014 01:20 AM

Not chaeto

spit.fire 09-29-2014 04:12 AM

I wish it was chaeto
Found something that eats it tho

I think its Bryopsis P. A very hard algae to get rid of unless its manual removal there are other means of removal but harmful for a reef tank.
I think high Magnesium does the trick to.

Are you in need of chaeto Tyler?

albert_dao 09-29-2014 07:05 AM

Not bryopsis. It IS, however, the devil.

No...

whatcaneyedo 09-29-2014 01:42 PM

It sort of looks like a species of Caulerpa to me.

cbrine 09-30-2014 04:54 AM

maybe some form of turf alge? It looks like something I have growing on the back of my tank (on the glass).

kamloops_reefer 09-30-2014 05:12 AM

curious, are these growing on your frags? I know I have that problem, and looked up green hair algae, I'm sure there are so many different kinds.

I tried the treatment of diluted hydrogen peroxide (zoa frags) and it seemed to kill a lot of it, then I let my yellow tang peck it clean.
