FS:Brand New 290 Gallon Starphire Tank
I have a brand new 90 x 24 x 31 tank that I ordered from Concept Aquariums. The eurobrace needs to be replaced which I will provide. All you need to do is install it. It is starphire front and back. There are a few scratches on one starphire panel. Black silicone with one overflow on the side(outside of the tank). Anyone interested let me know. It was an expensive tank. Asking $1500 OBO

Thanks, but would like a pic...
Is it a one piece eurobrace? Is the overflow all across the one end? Are you selling it because its damaged, and did Concept give you a new replacement? They are pretty reliable... |

Sorry. Been a bit busy lately. Tank came less than 2 weeks ago. It was broken during transport. I will be getting a replacement from Concept. There are a few scratches on one of the starphire panels. It is not a one piece Eurobrace. I will be getting the replacement piece for the brace in a few days.

So your getting a replacement tank from Concept, and want to sell the broken one?
Or are you selling because youve changed plans? Just trying to get this clear... What happened to tank to damage it? Could the seals be affected? |
The tank has 2 long starphire panels. It is going to be viewable from both sides so the scratches on one of the sides is the reason for selling. When we opened the crate it was already broken so we dont know how it broke. As for the seals, everything looks good but you wont know until you fill it with water.

Beautiful tank!
I assume the plumbing will not come with it as your gonna use plumbing with the replacement tank your getting? It would be helpful to everyone if you fill it with water and checked if it had any leaks... |
Plumbing wouldnt really work with anyone else unless they have the same set up with the sump that I have planned. Would it be a good idea to water test with a broken brace?
|
Well, the tank you are selling is much bigger than mine, but I had to remove my center brace on my 46 gallon tank because my halide would have melted it off for me. So I went to Canadian tire, grabbed a couple 1 x 1/8 inch piece of steel plate, bent it on both ends on a vice, painted it real pretty and slapped it on top of my fish tank. 9 months later, no leaks. Not sure if you want to try that to test for leaks, but it worked for me.
