Nuggs' 75G reef Build
Well with the Hi-light planted shut down it was time to get started on the SW switch.
Tank cleaned, light stand built: http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/o...5.jpg~original Just the blues on: http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/o...6.jpg~original |
Good luck with the build!
|
So the equipment:
Standard Marineland 75G Pressboard stand Light hanger made from deck balusters 2 x Evergrow D120V2 2 x Marineland Hidden LED (Going to use them with just the blues turned on for moon lights) Fluval E300 Heater 2 x Jwbao WP-25 on a twins controller Reef Octopus BH-2000 HOB skimmer DIY fuge made out of an AC-110 and a Marineland LED light. |
|
So the tank is filled and all the rock is in, fish acclimated.
I am actually pretty happy with my rock work. It could be better but I'd need all the same type of rock rather than the piecemeal stuff I have now. FTS: http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/o...8.jpg~original Still a little cloudy after moving all the rock around today. Flow seems good, nothing setting on the sand but no sand storms. Using ELSE mode on the Jebaos. |
Stocking list:
Snails: 6 x Striped Torchus 6 x Needle Cerith 6 x Nassarius 2 x Spiny Star Astraea 2 x Turban Snail 1 x Orange Spot Grazer Crabs: 6 x Orange leg hermit 4 x Scarlet reef hermits 2 x Dwarf Blue Leg Hermit 1 x Halloween Hermit Shrimp: 1 x Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp 1 x Blood Red Fire Shrimp Fish: 1 x Lawnmower Blenny 1 x Yellow Watchman Goby 1 x Orchid Dottyback 2 x Clarkii Clown 1 x Flame Angel 1 x Tomini Tang I'll post the coral list later. |
Grabbed my macro tube and got a decent shot of a Dwarf Blue Leg Hermit:

Well everything is in and connected, the sand storm is cleared, still have a couple pieces of coral to place, but so far so good.

Well today sucked.
Went to clean my skimmer after supper, and in my turkey induced stupor I dropped it. Broke the body. Time for a new one. |
Found this in my reef the other day just as the lights were starting to come on. Looks like Black Stomatella

Lookin' good
If you don't mind a suggestion, it looks like you've got your GSP on your main rockwork I'd get it off there and put it on a chunk of rock on the sand Unless you don't mind it taking over the whole pile of rock it's on  |
