Another Great LFS: Pet Gallery

I read Dead By Dawn's posting a few days ago about Pet Gallery's great prices on fishes. So I decided to go check it out myself.

I found that it offers really competitive pricing on livestocks and really good service.

I picked up a mandarin goby and an anemone shrimp today at bargin prices. the best price in Vancouver I would say, much cheaper than JL or King Ed, not to mention better service too.

BTW, I am not getting paid to post this. I am just really glad to have found this LFS and would like to share with other fish hobbyists.

same here glad you stopped by the store ,with a little help from reefers i think they might increase there stock i was talking to ryan today while he was placeing another fish order,he was saying that theres more interest in high end fish rather than damsels etc ,cant wait to see what comes in on the next order .

Is Pet Gallery the one in North Van? If not what is the address.

I've been to Pet Gallery... nice employees... not sure how much the know about saltwater livestock and true some of the fish are quite cheaply priced (damsels), but others aren't that competitively priced including firefish, clowns, etc... and they usually sell standard brown btas for $40+... but it would be nice if they got more stock in as they're still just starting out.

Ryan, welcome to the board. It's good to see a relationship develop between retailers and their customers.

response to your opinion muck...

Muck Thought I would key you into my point of view if you were my customer would you prefer that (A) I tell you I have a green bird wrass, and not tell you anything about it? and after coming to my store found that his tail was a bit chewed? Or (B) I continue being honest with my customers so that they are not dissapointed by a fish when they come to visit my store? I don't like wasting my customers time and I do not like to mislead them Perhaps my aproach is a bit original but people who know me appreciate it..

You got a got point there. I just thought is was a little funny that is all.
Its not everyday you can find someone that honest. I appreciate that honesty as well. I did not mean anything negative by my comments. If they were taken as such I apoligize.

raquel 09-06-2004 06:10 PM

high fin goby

I have one of those high fin gobies, they are striking but it only appears about once a week if that. It prefers to hang out in between the live rock.
