July POTM - Getting Fresh.
July 2014 POTM This months subject: Freshwater ! Say whaa??? You heard me right! It's time to show the freshies some McLovin'. Let's see your freshwater tanks/fish/inverts/plants/ponds/whatever you got! ================================================== ===== Entries will be accepted until midnight on Thursday July 31st (ish), 2014. Entries to be posted in this thread, if you have troubles posting please either pm or email me the photo and I will help you post it. Voting to take place August 1st-August 3rd (ish). . Contest Rules are as follows: 1) You must follow the guidelines given for each contest. 2) ALL members including vendors can enter. 3) Photos should be submitted no larger than 1024 x 768 and a max ppi of 300. 4) The photo must be taken by you, and as long as it fits the subject you're in! 5) Each member can post as many pictures as they want, but only ONE can be entered. Please specify which one when posting multiple pictures or it will be chosen for you. 6) Photos that have previously won Photo of the Month can not be resubmitted for contest consideration. 7) Have Fun! |

Well this is quite the change to the POTM... I am genuinely surprised at the absolute lack of interest and love that the freshwater side gets, regardless of this being a saltwater forum.
I am constantly seeing threads and buid threads that start with saying,.. " This is my first attempt at saltwater, although I have kept freshwater for X # of years..." or something to that effect. For many of us the freshwater side of things was what got us involved in the aquarium world in the first place whether it was a simple goldfish in a simple tank or nowadays the all too common and sadly "disposable betta". Anyways enough blah blah blah...here is my photo. This is just a quick cell phone pic I took today nothing special... I also am liking Kiens chances of winning this month hahahaha |
