Freshwater dip on mandarin dragnet?

Hi guys

I am just curious that can we perform a freshwater dip for mandarin?

I remember reading somewhere that mandarin will not survive a freshwater bath. Is that ture??

Thanks

The question is why would you want to give the mandarin a fresh water dip?

I would guess flukes, but prazipro seems to work fine as long as you dose it at least twice and sometimes more.

Just for a reference, nothing reall going on.

I read that some people do freshwater dip on new fish from LFS to get some nasty stuff out from new fish so I am just curious can I do it with certain type of fish only or all

Thanks

Mandarin goby's are not prone to the same issues other fish have due to the slime coat they produce on their skin.

IMO anybody who fresh water dips a new fish to " get the crap off" shouldn't have fish in the first place.
