FS: 24" starfire cube system

Hello everyone!

Just found out I will be moving to Saskatoon in August, so I will be selling my aquarium. I will be keeping my pump, computer, light etc as I'll definitely set up another tank, but the live stock and tank/stand/sumps is all available for a huge discount.

Tank: 24"x24"x22" tall starfire cube - one piece eurobrace and external overflow - made by Concept Aquatics. Includes an acrylic tank cover to make it cat friendly.

Stand: powder coated steel stand - I think 72"x24"x36" (I work away from home, I will measure it precisely when I get back).

Covered with 1/2" walnut plywood - chocolate stain finished with a clear coat. Aluminium edging. The panels attach by magnets.

Bottom is 3/4" marine grade plywood painted with 3 coats of a glossy white outdoor paint. It is holding up very well. It is also backed with this plywood.

Top is covered with 3/4" plywood painted as described, and over top of the covered with 1/2" walnut.

Also includes the acrylic sump in the picture, which is Eshopps: 36"x18"x18" I think.

Includes all hard plumbing I did. There are three Spears gate valves ($30 each I think), one or two true union ball valves, and several unions to ensure the plumbing can be easily dismantled/reassembled.

I'm looking for $700 OBO for the entire package. Tank, sump, stand, and plumbing included. Rest of the hardware in the picture is not included.

The skimmer: a Reef Octopus Diablo DC-170 with a self cleaning head is available for $300 OBO.

For an additional $200 OBO, I would throw in all of my livestock. Lots of gorgs, a couple nice acans, lots of mushrooms and rics, macro algae, ~30-40 pounds of bali live rock, two dragonettes, a 4 year old yellow watchman goby, and a 1-2 year old aquaculture seahorse (eating frozen mysis).

This is an old picture, but most of the livestock is still there. Some was replaced with different livestock. The nice acan is most definitely still there :)

All PMs have been replied too.

FYI the stand is actually 80" long x 24" wide x 36" tall

I have had people ask about the buying tank only. I would part out if I can organize a buyer for the stand/sump only.

Cool tank! Good luck with the sale.

Here are pictures of the tank I took about 30 minutes ago! First step to sell the system is to sell the livestock. $200 for all of the livestock!

Bump...

I want this livestock out of the tank by this weekend (14th-15th).

I'd give the fish (one seahorse, two dragonettes, and a yellow watchman goby) away for free to a good home.

I'm looking for someone to take all the corals for $200.

FishingGoalie 06-10-2014 10:45 PM

Mannn that sucks you got to sell I loved watching this tank build because its such a cool idea. Please do the same thing again. Could you not just put things in buckets and have someone hold the seahorses for a little? If you need a smaller stand just sell the stand and keep everything else. Id hate to have to lose my tank.

Hope all goes well!

Good Luck!

Jakegr 06-10-2014 11:58 PM

Thanks for the kind words! I'll be back with another build. It would just be too much of a hassle to transport all of the live stock to Saskatchewan.

All of the fish are spoken for! I'm happy they will be going to a good new home.

Jakegr 06-11-2014 02:43 PM

Bump, looking for a buyer for all of the corals by this weekend! Make an offer.

Jakegr 06-12-2014 04:25 PM

All livestock pending sale this weekend. Thanks everyone.

Reef.ductionist 06-12-2014 10:38 PM

Are you selling the maxspect led?

Bowen 06-12-2014 11:57 PM

Any chance you'd be willing to mail the macro over to the island, should it still be available?
