SPS at Incredible Aquarium
One of the many types of coral we love are small polyp stony coral, SPS. In early 2011 we decided to rebuild a 220 gallon DAS system we have had for 15+ years that was covered in Pom Pom Xenia and many other invading species, to focus on these coral
It was time to build a serious home for our growing SPS collection but we had to rip out all of the live rock in this system, for the big rebuild. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75...um/OnMyWay.jpg When done this is what the aquarium looked like. (March Break 2011) http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75...eBeginning.jpg Starting with the nicest coloured aqua-cultured SPS we could find, we built a grow out system that looks like this today…. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75...ideview1-2.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75...ideview2-2.jpg We use it for growing out most of our SPS colonies, all of our Limited Edition and Collector SPS colonies and healing SPS frags. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75...Dec82012-2.jpg For pricing and Instock items ready to ship here is the link to our SPS collection: http://www.incredibleaquarium.com/in...Path=31_44_256 |

These are the most current photos which were already posted in another thread. They were taken about 6 weeks ago. As you can see our "famous" 220 SPS system has been taken over by multiple frag racks which will be removed shortly and into two of the new systems currently being built. I will post more FTS Shots along with all of the new RR SPS frags and colonies when everything is finished. Here are some current photos showing how our coral and frags are nurtured now... http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75...ps823d1c3d.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75...psa0279522.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75...ps5b538c4f.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75...ps3c3bece3.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75...psa8c950ef.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75...ps4e8f6b3c.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75...ps93b2bc1c.jpg |
Hi Bill, I was on a recent buy order from Victoria with Adam last month and just want to say thank you. We each had one DOA each ( Same coral too) however you took care of it like a true professional.
Thanks again |

PM sent. Happy Sunday.

I was browsing your site and noticed that on a few SPS frags it says "cut to order". What does that mean? I'm assuming that means you cut a frag off of the colony and ship that ? Do you set them aside to heal and/or encrust for any amount of time before shipping ?

We have many more SPS frags made and will post them when they are healed and encrusted. Here is another we have….called Orange Planet. (Left side of Blue Mille). As you can see it has encrusted and has been added to our website. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75...ps68e10c4e.jpg |

Once we agreed on a size, I will set them aside for as long as you like, and can send progress pics in the meantime. When fully encrusted and healed we will ship them to you. |
Here are the most current photos taken of our 220 SPS system. Mid April 2014. The SPS growth has been explosive and we like to use the same system to heal and encrust our frags.

you have already posted those pics... Would be a lot better to see actual recent pictures, a lot can change in a few months.
|
And why are you deleting our posts??
|
I just +1 to coral hoarders comment. But it's your thread :)
|
Mid april is current enough for me. Bill, did you come up with any plans on how to ship that blue efflo successfully? A few of us are discussing a group order and several are interested in that piece.

I'm deleting posts now because I'm getting annoyed. Competitors are coming into this thread to cause trouble and I'm getting ****ed about it. If it doesn't stop, accounts will be closed. If anyone has a question for Bill on his business practices, use the PM button. |

I am trying hard guys. I am making frags as quickly as I can and finding places to put them to heal and encrust. My SPS tank, see recent photo 'cause I am not posting it again LOL, is filled with frag racks. Taking another pic won't change that. We had just put a beautiful mini colony of IAS RR Red Diablo on the website, and it was gone in no time flat. (Pic was taken of the actual piece still IN THE tank and on a fragrack). Here is the link: http://www.incredibleaquarium.com/in...oducts_id=3552 Thats as current as it gets. |

IAS Blue Efflo, so far so good. Last week we shipped one to St. John's, NewFoundland and a second to Calgary, Alberta. I am happy to report 100% success. |
Great. We'll browse around and be in touch.

We got so many, each one looking better than the last, that I feel a bit overwhelmed. :) Like the best Christmas ever!! and I think that says a lot considering I have been in the business 20 years and have received more than my fair share of great shipments. LOL I will get busy next week. |
Never tried but maybe 1 day I will since I'm hoarding

Looking excellent Bill!!! Glad to hear you had success with shipping the efflo too!! I'm not sure what your experiences have been with efflos but I find them to be the worst when it comes to fragging/transporting/shipping.....for some reason even ones that have been cultured for years find a way to lose their tissue and die. I still think they are one of the most fragile acros out there and would explain why we don't see many arrive (alive) in a wild shipment into the hobby..... For their rarity and beauty, the price on them is also kinda strangely low....but hey who is going to argue with that!! Lol :)
I'm been so busy lately but i will be in to see you soon buddy!!! Looks like you got some sweet new corals too!!! :) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
