New cobalt heater, " looks good"
 

...and I just bought a new heater for my tank. Doh!

It has Bad reviews look at the review section of BRS web page

But it's the first heater EVER to get the BRS recommended tag!!! Lol

Hey Albert have you had one fail on you, why are they so bad?

Is this not the heater that has been recalled for making fish tanks into hot tubs?

I believe those were the black Marineland Stealth heaters, they failed on, at least mine did. Now those were bad.
I think this is the one Albert is thinking of.

There is a thread on RC where several people had cobalt heaters exploded in their tanks. In the same thread, someone even claimed that cobalt (unofficially) admitted there might be manufacture fault in some of their heaters. Go to RC and search for cobalt.

I have three of these 2x50w 1x75w (for different purposes) and have had no issues. In fact my temp never really swings more than one degree per day (if that) Plus being shatterproof is always a plus!

I'd definitely recommend them.
