Barrier Reef Aquarium in Renton. Take I-405 exit 7.
They are at behind the strip mall building. Small sign by the door.

I was there today, and not lots of selection. Usually they have full of corals, but they had crazy deal frags. $39.99 for SS frag.

I don't think you can bring coral over the border, maybe someone else can confirm this.

I believe little Scott just wants to visit/see the stores that are in Seattle.
However some things can be brought over and others cannot you'll have to do your homework.

I would call the Canadian crossing and ask before. I know some things are ok but I don't think coral is one of them. Would hate to see Scott have to give up corals at the border is all.

I believe we can only bring soft corals back to Canada. Not LPS and SPS.
That why I didn't buy SS acro for 39.99.

There was also "The Fish Store"
It was flooded and understaffed when I was there but that may have changed.

Thanks guys naw I plan on taking a few pics and looking around it's realy not worth getting somthing for 2$ less and going thru the trouble of bringing across the boarder

Barrier Reef, Oceans by Design, Sierra Pets has some Saltwater. Also check out Crystal Reef Aquatics in Bellingham (they are fairly new but have some nice livestock). Red C Aquariums is a bit old and dingy but had lots of really nice corals when I was there. Also Saltwater City on the Bellevue side of the lake.

Anyone want recommendations in Portland I can suggest some there too :)

scott if you want to bring coral frags back, just use one of those soda cup from McD and fill it up with saltwater and put the straw and lid on for camouflage...lol I've been to the border couple of times and they only care if you bring tobacco or alcohol.

That's pretty risky lol. Iono if its worth it to be on the border popo's black list n always being checked every time u pass border and the hefty fines.

Or you can drive along the street parallel with 0 street on the US Aldergrove border and toss your corals across and pick it up later after you cross the border

One time I was at YVR custom and decided to report my palau nepthea frag that I brought in a small container. The custom guy was mad at me first because I didn't have any documentation about the corals but since it was only a small frag he let me go but told me not to do that again. As I was packing my duffel bag, I saw a Filipino couple got detained for bringing in fried chicken in unmarked cans. They were smiling to each other not knowing the consequences until the same custom officer who spoke to me said, " Sir, I will fine you $800 for bringing undeclared meat products to Canada. You told another agent earlier that you didn't bring any meat products. Obviously you lied to us." I saw the lady almost cried.

A guy I know in high school got caught trying to smuggle illegal fireworks over the border. The next two times he tried to cross the border, they pulled his car aside and tore it completely apart, then left him to put it back together. As far as I know, he hasn't tried driving across the border since and nobody will risk taking him and having their car taken apart. This happened in the 80s, before 9/11.

I don't think Seattle has better prices than Vancouver. A while back, I visited a hobbyist on Craigslist in Seattle area and bought few stuffs from him and later found that his price was pretty high but not as crazy as some people in Toronto charges. Good thing now we have people like Scott who sell corals like Walmart "Everyday low prices"...lol
