I ordered mine from you guys. Not only did you meet all my payment needs you shipped the light quickly and have been great. All my future light orders will be through you. Anyone looking to order one of these lights in calgary can come and view mine in person before orderin. I have the it2060

I've purchased 2 Evergrows from Nick and will be purchasing another 8-10 units once I assemble my new tank. I went with the T120s and so far they have been excellent. Can't complain about a fixture that's less money than a set of T5 bulb changes! :)

Service from Reef Supply Canada was exceptional.

nrosdal 02-09-2014 03:01 AM

Great to hear guys. Always looking to improve customer experiences. Feel free to let us know what could be improved as well (pm if it is mean :twised:)

I have been meaning to put together a customer photo album for a while now. If you feel like sharing please post pics of your set ups and i will add them to our website. I would love to see what you all have done with your aquariums.

Also, if looking to purchase 4 or more of anything please contact me first as we can do bulk discounts(there is not a ton of room on d120s but we will always do what we can).

My D120's are working great as well.!!

Magma 02-09-2014 03:19 AM

I also ordered the D120's from Nick and he was AWESOME to deal with. I love these LED's they are amazing, my corals have never looked better. I have 3 fixtures over a 6ft tank and if I had to buy again I would go to Nick first, he was great at helping me figure out how many I needed over my tank kept me up to date with my order.

I got one of the early IT2040 lights and when I first turned it on I felt there was too much red. One call to Nick and we worked out a fix. Within 2 days I was running what I wanted. Always awesome to do business with him.

nrosdal 02-09-2014 11:15 PM

Thanks guys, any pictures??

i will post some later tonight after i clean my glass. I added the original version of d120s to my 120 gal 4 footer when i started selling them. They have been going for quite some time now and even with newer models out i still have the OG units running and since switching from softys and lps to mostly sps i have finally gotten to 100% on both channels.

Pics to come...

it is a 120g 4ft aquarium lit by 2 Evergrow D120s (first gen).

What's the average wait time for these lights, I ordered the IT2012 on the 5th of this month but it's still apparently waiting fulfillment. I've sent a couple emails but not really getting any responses. Maybe I'm just being impatient, oh ya, hello everyone.

I received mine in a couple days. Funny thing was tracking said it was in BC still as I was unwrapping it.

Bean 04-18-2014 02:20 AM

Strange, I did send an email about a week ago and was told that the lights were in, just waiting on the lenses. I was told that the light could be shipped out right away and the lenses would be in Friday or this Monday and shipped separately but I opted to wait to have it all shipped together. I thought they'd of shipped by now but nothing so far, no tracking number has ever been given so I'm assuming that nothing has been sent with no response to my two emails today.

nrosdal 04-18-2014 09:14 AM

I have had a bit of an issue with lights taking a lot longer from order to receiving them then previous as well as ordering a normal amount of what would normally be needed and selling 3-5 times that for the last month or so. I have added a bunch extra as the way it has gone the last few orders is causing a wait and that is not what should be happening. But it should all be sorted out shortly with more being stocked and ordering more extras in case volume stays as high as it has been recently.

As for yours Bean, i hate to say it but i screwed it up and your light that was set aside for optics to be added was accidentally sent out :sorry: I have another batch coming in next week and will express ship it to you as soon as they get here. Sorry, i am not sure how i did it... But emailed ya with my apologies and a small bribe that will hopefully buy a little more patience until the new batch comes.

As much as i would love to say that no mistakes are ever made it would not be true. But hopefully i can get this one sorted out for you asap. Please feel free to pm, email, or call if you have any questions.

Bean 04-18-2014 12:21 PM

Ha ha, ok, I got your email Nick. No bribe was necessary but I do appreciate it. I apologize for seeming pushy but I've never dealt with Reef Supply so was just a little unsure of how things would go. Looking forward to getting them as people seem to love the light. Again, thanks for your response.

Hey beeaan,

Did you get yours? How do they look on your tank?

Bean 04-30-2014 10:33 PM

I'm still waiting for them. They were to be delivered Friday but I've intercepted them and am picking them up tomorrow at a depot they'll be going to. Will definitely let you know how they look. I have to retrofit the canopy over the aquarium to house them but that won't take long.

Ryhiem 05-01-2014 12:20 AM

Hey everyone.
Was wondering if the D120 sold through reef supply canada has customizable led color ratio? Im looking for a led light with predominantly 4500k whites.
Thanks

Karsten 05-01-2014 02:40 AM

I just opened my new 2060's from Nick. I am very impressed so far. This weekend I'll mount them and make the switch from T5!

Karsten just ordered some custom leds. They are somewhat customize able in that they will do it sometimes if they are not to busy. But in general they would rather not. One thing i would not want to have more of the the lower k whites. It is all personal opinion but if i were customize one for myself i would swap a couple of the 4500k for 6500 or even 10000k as at full power they are a touch yellow for my liking (but this is the layout that has made the bulk of customers happy as we have tried a few in past and tweaked to this point).

Please pm me if you are thinking you would rather a custom and i can send you a blank layout.

Karsten, i am looking forward to seeing how yours come out. Post some pics when you get them going.

neoh 05-01-2014 08:22 PM

ReefSupplyCanada is kickass. ;)

Would like to see some large tank photos with those lights over them!

Bean 05-02-2014 02:36 AM

Finally got my lights, got them up and programmed on 1 hour, gonna change them to half hour ramp up/down for a smoother effect. It's pretty late so I haven't had time to fiddle to much. I'll be back at it tomorrow but they do light up the tank nicely.

banditpowdercoat 05-05-2014 11:54 PM

What's everyone running on their D120's for intensity? I got a 24" tank, 22" water depth and the blues/whites are around 75-80% My BTA isn't happy with light tho. But then he's had some issues for a while. Just dunno if to much light or not enough? I like them tho

nrosdal 05-06-2014 12:09 AM

i am at 100% blue and usually 80% on whites. Would go a bit higher but corals up top start to fade when i do. Anywhere above 50% should be more then enough for anemone. I had a carpet under mine before adding optics and running 70% max and it was happy.

Magma 05-06-2014 12:17 AM

50% on each channel

They are mounted 18" above the water and I have 20" of water depth.

I found it took my nems almost 3 months to get used to the LED's they hid in shadows for a long time and now they are massive.

banditpowdercoat 05-06-2014 12:33 AM

I'm off to camp again on Wed for 3 weeks. Getting tank ready for Automation Mode here. Si I'll leave my lights down a little bit, for the 3 weeks. Haven't incorporated them into Apex Variable control yet. Maybe next days off. Then I will be able to remotely adjust the levels.
