Thanks! I have to find a place for a few more corals I picked up today... Still planning on moving my lps but the Majestic is behaving so far, only time will tell.

Thanks!

I am using a 12 bulb Sfiligoi T5 fixture. I took out the middle 4 bulbs and replaced them with a 250w metal halide.

4 ATI Blue+ that run for 12hours
3 ATI Blue+ and 1 Fiji Pink that run for 9.5 hours
and the Halide runs for 7.5 hours.

The lights follow the lunar cycle along with my moon lights. I find I get the nicest colours with this combination and everything seems to grow fairly quick as well. Im getting roughly 650 par on the shelf in the middle where the clam and forest fire digi are.

I tried to change to a 14k ushio but found the par readings were far to high and I just burnt everything under it...

Wow, this is awesome!! I love those RR pieces :)

Doug 02-07-2014 05:06 PM

Very nice. And yes, love the clams also.

Tristan 02-07-2014 06:38 PM

Thanks for the kind words guys.

I redid a bunch of stuff last night as my tank was a frickin mess. I took out all my lps except for the Duncan and Donut as I couldn't reach him anymore. I only moved them as a precaution..

I moved my Clams around and got them on the rock work as well..

Tristan 02-13-2014 01:45 AM

A few more shots..

Cleaned it up a bit...

Really nice - I have a RR Pretty in Pink on the way - hopefully it turns into my favourite too, did I spot a RR Orange Passion in there - how's that doing for you?

A Black and White Maxima ? - need one of those

Love your selection

You will not be disappointed in the Pretty in Pink, the colony is amazing, the photos of it don't do it justice.

I have had the Orange Passion for a couple months I think... It is a super slow grower but the colours are quite nice. You don't really notice it though unless your looking for it.. :S

The Maxima was a lucky find, its tiny though so I am a little "worried" about its longevity in my tank.

Tristan 02-19-2014 03:26 PM

how many fish is too many.... lol

So I added a few more fish yesterday.

So far everyone is doing well except Derp the Boxfish. He got sucked against a tunze as he was a small guy and I presume there was too much flow for him..

Anyways my current stock list as of today:

1 - Purple Tang
1 - Tomini Tang
2 - Female Spot Breast Angelfish
1 - Majestic Angelfish
1 - Paracheilinus Mccoskeri
3 - Cirrhilabrus Walshi 1m/2f
4 - Cirrhilabrus Pylei 1m/3f
4 - Cirrhilabrus Roseafascia 1sm/3f
1 - Cirrhilabrus Exquisitus
2 - Cleaner Wrasse
8 - Pseudanthias Squamipinnis 1m/7f
6 - Green Chromis
5 - Dragon Faced Pipefish

Bringing my grand total to 39 fish... Looks like I need one more...lol

With that many very active, voracious eaters, will the pipefish get enough to eat? Great list btw. Hope its not too crowded in there.

I was a little worried about that too, but I have a system. I mass feed with flakes and at the same time feed cyclop-eeze. The wrasses go for the flake over the cyclop-eeze so the pipefish get plenty.

They are also a lot quicker than I had originally thought they would.

The tank is full of fish, but to me it looks a little more natural with all the anthias and wrasses swimming in and out of the rock and flashing at each other.
