Hey everyone! Salty23 and I were thinking of setting up a frag swap at a friend's lounge towards the end of this month :D

The location would be at the newly relaunged Mezz Lounge located upstairs of Badminton Vancouver (yup, that big badminton place you see driving south on Knight st. bridge - http://goo.gl/maps/9PkXu):

Time frame is subject to adjustment, but we were thinking Feb 23rd (Saturday) afternoon. Everyone is welcome to come/plan/offer suggestions to help make this event super fun and successful.

Is there going to be a frag tank or something temperature controlled that we can drop our frags in?

There will be a frag tank setup with the appropriate parameters and temperature for everyone who wish to put their frags into are more then welcome to do so

It also looks like we are going to change the frag swap date to MARCH 1st SATURDAY to accommodate more people and allow people more time to plan and make frags. We will also be giving out a few door prizes.

Please feel free to list some of the things you guys will be bringing :)

The frag swap can double as my birthday party (it's on my bday) and well pretend everyone there is my friend and we can have cake

Frag pack of 4 x A-Grade Acans - Come in and you'll be entered automatically.

PRIZE 2:

Frag pack of 3 x A-Grade Chalices - Buy a beer and get an entry voucher! More beers, more vouchers! (just remember, if you're going to drink, bring a DD!)

Prize 3:

$75 livestock credit from Oceanic Corals (thx Paul!) - Make a trade or cash transaction with another attendee for a voucher! More trades, more chances to win!

Prize 4:

Birthday cuddle session with Tyler (spit.fire) - I'll leave this one up to Tyler to figure out.

Tagging along with the thread so I can get any date/time/location updates.

I'm hoping to attend as it sounds like several of my favorite things will be there... Beer, sushi, frags, prizes and new friends to meet! :-)

I hope to attend. I won't have anything to trade as my tank should be just done cycling by then. I might be able to purchase a few things and at least get to meet some local reefers.

Maybe you could get a Mod to update thread title to include the date and time. It might be confusing searching though 3 pages with different dates being thrown around.

Also, are people encouraged to bring hardware, (smallish stuff!), and supplies, (food, additives, etc?)?

Ha!~ Totally not, this is a family event.

Anyway, I talked to a bunch of people over the week and would like to recommend that anyone who wants to bring items, please list what you have available here (pictures are a bonus). Also, if anyone has a wishlist, please, please, please absolutely feel free to make one up here :D

I'll post pics of what I have later.

Also - If you intend to bring anything and would like for me to make space in the tank, LMK asap, space is (semi) limited and will be prioritized for anyone who makes prior arrangements with myself or Thomas first.

I'll be bringing some dendros, acan frags and bubble gum monster chalice frags. Will post some photos tonight.

funny i couldnt find the time ??

Have to go to a big work dinner with my wife in the evening so I'm hoping this is earlier in the day. Give me time to come, hang out for several hours, go home to acclimate all the new goodies and still make it downtown for supper:wink:

Albert mentioned it'll start at noon. So let's say noon@12 till when we are all bloated and sick from sushi, beer and frags.
