I don't keep mine in the fridge and it seems fine. My current bottle has been beside the sump over a year.

Mine isn't in the fridge either (none of my Zeovit stuff is). The air by my sump is ~19 degrees, so it's not cooking either.

I wouldn't call any of these products food. More like vitamins. I doubt there is anything in any of my products that are caught and consumed by coral polyps.

You'll also notice, if you use Zeo, that if I still have this tiny bottle under my stand 13 months after I purchased it, I don't give my corals vitamins either -lol

I'm more of a "I own zeo" rather than "I use zeo" :)

Not sure I'd go that far, but it certainly is overpriced vitamins :)

Well the bottles are expensive upfront that's for sure but it goes for a looooooooooooooooooong time (for me, it would go over a year). So in long term, its actually cheap compared to other aminos or vitamins in the market.

I'm sure this will cause conflict but honestly.
The cost of additives that peeps get so worried about seems ridicules!?!.
The price of a coral or a light fixture protien skimmers pwr heads pumps etc ect.
I can not understand how additives or pwr consumption is given so much attention IMO.
Seems like a drop in the bucket in the scheme of the hobby.

No one that snowmobiles complains about but he price of gas or oil!
Just my thoughts

Whats the old saying? Watch your nickels and dimes and the dollars will take care of themselves.

It's an expensive hobby, I always look for ways to save a few bucks.

+1. Just because my tank was ridonk expensive to set up and the critters that I set it up for also cost a lot (a price I obviously feel is justified and am willing to pay) doesn't mean that I like being fleeced for the obligatory costs of running the tank. Saying 'well that's not that bad compared to the whole tank, therefore I shouldn't complain about it' starts creeping in to the realm of logical fallacies. Whether or not you have cumulatively dropped 20K on your system and the things inside it does not have anything to do with whether or not spending extra money on a product when there are comparable brands that do the same thing for less money is a good decision. Each decision to spend money should be evaluated independently, and on its own merits, not rationalized against how much you've already spent.

Between food, electricity, salt, and additives my tank requires (as in, I have no choice to spend it or the tank will crash) nearly $250/month if I don't buy cheaper versions of product in bulk quantities. Regardless of my sunk cost, that's still a tremendous amount of money to be required to spend every month on a hobby. And that's before I start thinking about things I want to buy.

Every dollar I can shave off the required costs is another dollar I can feel better about spending on things I actually want. Some people consider amino acids a necessity, and they are dosed enough to become an ongoing maintenance cost, so it's a worthwhile question to ask.
