Yes provided the Sol has a Wireless Adapter.

Is the Hydra Fifty Two worth the extra money?

I think depending on the depth. I have a 24" tall tank, minus sand and air gap at the top, that puts me at 21" of water. My Hydras (non-52) very easily penetrate to the bottom, and I'm growing SPS at up to 18" from the water line, so I have no problem with power.

Likely with a 36" deep tank you might want more penetration power.

I'm collecting equipment I will be needing when I finally get my 220 running.

My AIs are 37" from the sandbed and I can grow SPS on the sandbed with no problems.

I was thinking about 2 hydra's and 2 52's I can always dim them if they are to intense.

What percentages are you running them at?

I think the lights are getting stupid now. It's all a marketing game about who has the most LEDs and the most power. Does anyone even run their existing ones at 100%?

I've been running LEDs for 2 1/2 years so I dont reccomend anyone to start out at those percentages.

I hear you Madreefer my SOLs have been on the tank about 2 years now, it just occurred to me I should ramp them a little higher.

Also agree with Ron, Kessil makes a good light for guys who want to go simple. Although I see they have now released a lamp that is externally controllable also.

Well there's those that say AI is a low end entry level led fixture, I have nothing but great things to say about them. I'll be taking 2 of my Sols off and replacing with 2 of the Hydra 52s.
