Who has INK?

The Metal thread got me thinking who has ink. So who does, how many and what? Inquiring minds want to know.

Ron99 12-13-2013 08:22 PM

Nah. It would void my warranty

Coasting 12-13-2013 08:26 PM

Mm I only have 2. And growing up with one of my parents always blasting Metal had nothing to do with my want to get tattoos. But I did grow up loving the classics.

I got my second tattoo for the same reason I got into keeping saltwater. An obsession with bright glowy colours.

Heres mine.

Who has INK?

I got two , one on my calf and one on my neck.

The meaning behind the tat on my calf is it represent mine and my mother asian zodiac sign . The dragon is me and my mum is a tiger also have our year of birth blend it into the tattoo as well .
Eventually I'll start on my sleeve draft (need inspiration )

Of coarse not quite that bright any more now that its been like 5 years... The stars are yellow and pink... though it seems I was a bleeder for the stars. I had them do regular colours first, then UV colours over top. So there is "white" uv (same as the outside of the petals on the lilys) also overtop of some of the colours on the butterflies.

being a bad a$$ biker like yourself I would have thought u had a Harley Davidson tat or hells angels on your back :surprise:

carriej 12-14-2013 02:02 AM

I got my first one when I was 14 (my mother almost killed my father) and then when I turned 18 I got it covered with another. I always said I would get more; but I can't now since I have an autoimmune disease. My Doc would kill me himself.

This pic is almost 7 years old.. So it's not quite so bright anymore. This was the day it was done.

Funny part of that is one of my buddy's who is a member has almost that exactly tattooed on his left arse cheek, lost a bet and because of PG rating I can't say what his nick name became after that.

SanguinesDream 12-14-2013 04:48 AM

Speaking of badass bikers, my first tat was done by a H.A. for a case of beer and $20 in his living room watching porn. Must have been a positive association because I got 5 more.

I plan to get a mixed reef surrounding my abdomen to cover up scars from several surgeries. I hope to commission my favorite artist, Chili Thom, to design it because that dude can do water like no other.

Getting tatted is painful !!!! Even if you got the best artist working on you IMO!!! But after a few tattoos you get numb to the pain .

-Tony

Scythanith 12-14-2013 03:35 PM

I will humbly disagree with Tony :)

My tattoo wasn't painful. If was uncomfortable when we'd stop for lunch and he'd start back up again on shading an area. The strong lines felt like a pizza cutter on my back, but didn't really hurt. I guess pain is in the eye of the beholder? If there was anywhere I'd say it started to hurt would have been my love handles, it was a strong pinching sensation.

Funny Aquattro mentions ribs. When I was getting my back done a fellow came in and my tattoo artist asked him to show me his ribs. He gets a big grin on his face a rips his shirt up exposing a huge graffiti style BBQ with green flames leaping off the grill, he looks at me and with a stoner accent goes "BBQ ribs man!". It was priceless.

Proteus 12-14-2013 04:18 PM

Yeah. It's mind over pain lol. My first tat was single needle lines. It's on my chest going across my brisket and collar bone those to places were a little painfull.
My back I fell asleep but I was under the influence of rum and mangroves

On the other hand my mom had her makeup tattooed on and she said the eyeliner was very painful

thmh 12-14-2013 04:28 PM

Pain in the eye of the beholder !!! :)
