where to perch?
saw this at the LFS the other day and needed to snap a quick shot lol.
http://www.fishbrains.net/images/93/perched.jpg anyone have pics of their fish or crabs in funny spots? |
I can't find the picture but I once saw a hermit crab in my tank, hanging on the glass by grabbing the algae on the glass. Must have been thinking "what the frak was I thinking!"

Citron Clown Goby and Flame Hawkfish.....
Both these are very animated and one of their favourite perches and spots to hang out is on my clam's mantle and folds. I'll try and find a picture of them sharing it together at the same time. Enjoy.

Whenever I turn my MP10's off I always have to remember to check the pumps to make sure I don't get Blended Blenny Surprise!

My Vortech's are the only place in the tank that large accumulations of certain types of algae grow because it's the only place where the herbivores can't get to it. I don't have any fish that like to perch in them, but I do have a whole bunch of turbo snails that seem to have death wishes. I lost an MP40 impeller to a mexican turbo snail that crawled inside the pump housing to graze while I had everything turned off for maintenance that I didn't see when I turned it all back on. The turbo snail was unfazed, but one of the impeller blades was cracked right in half. I thought my glass was cracking it made such a loud noise!

Red Mini Carpet (Stitchodactyla Tapetum - S. Tapetum) Hitchiker.....
I found this in my archives. I found it amusing that this S. Tapetum anemone 'hitchhiked' on the shell/back of a snail for the better portion of a week. I found the pair everywhere in my display. Hard to miss with a literal red target on your back ;) Enjoy.

I wonder how often that happens in nature...
