Staring at all these awesome corals, hopped up on the bean!

Its been a huge past few days for fish, invert and coral orders here at RW and we are still stuck here, mesmerized and drawn in by some stellar corals.... and mountains of caffffiiinnnee.

We had to force Kevin out the door or he would never go home, he kept getting distracted by different bundles of awesomeness!

Now I normally wade right into the sps pics, cause well they are my personal fav.... but I will see how long I can resist posting sps pics and put up some other pics for all the misguided, non-sps fanatics :P

Lets start this week of with some fantastic red flower anemone pics!

Why don't you put names for your corals?

+1 x brazilllllllion ! It's a little annoying telling my LFS, "ReefWholesale, third post, second from the bottom, red and orange one."

thmh 10-03-2013 04:26 PM

The amount of corals they bring in and ship out.... It will be very difficult to name them all! Maybe a numbering system would be better.

Price would double if names are applied ;)

Yeah, and that's how we get new names like Kushberry, Ice Fields, Bloody Mary, etc... LOL.

They're a whole seller! It's totally different vs us as vendors:-)

Tony really hit the nail on the head here.
As we are a wholesaler, based on the shear volume of corals that come through our door its would just take an insane additional amount of time for us to ID each and every piece.
The last group of pics I loaded into our gallery was about 120 pictures and this accounted for just a small fraction of the pieces we brought in last week.
And just to get this done I came in on Sat morning and ended up being at the shop until around 2 am just taking pics then time to develop and crop them and so on.

But as a consumer, I do also understand 100% where you guys are coming from too, its hard to ask for a piece just from the pic.

So I will try and post some names for you guys when we do have the time to help you ID them and make life easier for ordering them.

If i dont have a chance to post a name though here is the best way to ask for a piece.

look at pics and find your "i gotta have it!" piece.
shouldnt be too hard ;)

right click on the piece

select "copy image address"
(well thats what it says on a mac anyways...)

send me an email or pm

right click

paste
and i sound her the url for the image

then if its doesnt have a name, or i dont know it i can see the exact piece you are looking for.
I can also let you know if there is a similar piece we have that you may be interested in
or if we have that exact piece.
And most importantly we can arrange for it to come with the livestock order to your nearest dealer.

The names don't have to be fancy. Scientific names would be nice but I understand how challenging that can be as well. For me, it would just be nice to have some sort of label on each picture.

RW-SPS-001

RW-LPS-035

RW-DEEPWATER-BLUE-034

RW-ACRO-PLANA-343

etc..

So much easier than, "um, Reef Wholesale's thread. Second post, blue one, third from the bottom... no no, his second post from the top, not from the bottom... no no, the blue one, not the red one.."

Make sealife stock the goods in there tanks! We have been waiting far to long.

Reef Pilot 10-03-2013 10:20 PM

So, if you don't ID them, does that mean that all (or most) are bought and sold at the same price at the wholesale level?

reefwars 10-03-2013 11:49 PM
