are you using fertilizer?
are you culturing rotifers close by, if contaminated with rotifers they will eat as fast as it grows. light for 16 hrs a day? |
no rotifers giving f2
light 16hrs |
what kind of light?
|
i think its a led it's the kit from mamroo200
|
I think they are flourescent, which should work fine.
What about temp., and you have an air line running like a slow boil. How much f2? |
temp is about 72 74
airstone to a slow boil this is my first batch 3ml f2 for about 3 gallons |
I would split it and put a little more f2 this time, an extra ml, are you using tap water or RO?
I used filtered water ( just after the carbon block of my RODI unit), salinity 1.019, don't use RODI |
iam using RO water so i should be using tap water, what about all the crap in tap water
|
do you put yours in the fridge

I'm new to this so we'll see how it goes. |
RO water is too pure, I used carbon filtered water and yes no air stone just a piece of rigid tubing.
the light should be ok if it came in mamroo's kit, he grows nice green phyto. 6500k cfl works good. what phyto you growing? |
phyto
most likely it has to brew for a longer period of time.what strain of phyto are you using?i use r/o water at 1.025 salinity run through an uv sterilizer.for a gallon of phyto i use about 3 ml of micro algae grow.lighting i made my own led strips using 1 watt leds(25 per strip)various cultures like different lights(nanochloropus-white/red,tetraselmus-red,isocrysis-blue-etc)i'm using aquamedic reactors for my cultures and rotifers
