Dell customer service
I won't bore you with the details but I just ordered a new computer from Dell and I had a horrible experience with their customer service after they screwed up my order.
I urge people to look at other options when purchasing a new computer. |
Oh no you've been Delled
I used to service dell computers as a sub contractor in the NWT. Dell always had trouble getting us the parts we needed. Either the wrong parts were sent or they didn't have the parts in stock and the customer had to wait. Sometimes the wait was as long as a month. Boy was I glad when we gave up the contract. |

best customer service and prices. good guy too! well, guys now that he has employees! Call Felix up, tell him Shane sent you - I've been dealing with him for 4 or 5 years now... |
i am thinking about buying a dell but r they really this bad
|
Yup Dell's support has gone the way of the dodo bird. Also they tech support is not inthe USA (at least the last time we had to deal with them at the office), you always got cut off as it was a lousy VoIP connection, and the person on the other end could hardly speak english..
needless to say Good luck and be persistent with them |

Why do you need support?
Anyway, I'm on my second Dell upgrade, it arrives at the door I hook it up and away I go. Oh, mine is just one lonely computer.... |
lately we have been having crashing problems, once wa a faulty CPU, some have had faulty RAM. they are great if there are no problems with them. but once you ahve to call support.. LOOK OUT :)

This is the 4th Dell I have bought and also the last.
The issue was, I ordered a system with a wireless keyboard and mouse, they shipped me a system with a wired keyboard and mouse. I phone them, after 15 minutes of voicemail hell, I get some "customer service rep" who insists I have not ordered a wireless keyboard and mouse. She interrupts me 6 times, yells at me, and finally I give up talking to her. Later the same day another person at Dell tells me I did order the wireless keyboard and mouse, it's just backordered. So besides this Dell chick ****ing me off, now I'm paying for 2 keyboards and 2 mouses (mice?) for one computer. Anyone want to buy a Dell wired keyboard and mouse, will trade for frags. |

no, thanks... |
heh you are always welcome to buy your gear off me ;)
I just so happen to work for a large computer comapny in West Canada. I personalt would avoid ALL the big guys as the service you get from the local shop is so much better. You will ALWAYS get that personal touch thats lacking in the big boys. And little know to the user is they all use the same parts made by the same companies. People see dell and thinks they are getting "better" parts than the local shop. An ASUS MB is an ASUS MB no matter where you buy it. just my thoughts. |
I'll vouch for Zerandise, great guy to deal with, awsome service! Quality product!
|
Zerandise, Does your company have a web site.
I'm interested in an new system? J |
Dell used to be excellent, I was very pleased when I bought my first system from them.
Gradually over the years their service and product went downhill. I can see how buying local and in person would be better, especially if the components are the same. I sent Dell an e-mail about my concerns, surprise surprise they have not bothered to answer it. |
Yes and no.
The company i work for has one I also do sales on the side. I am production manager at Discovery Computers. http://www.discoverycomputers.com we have a few stores across BC and AB |
