Why wont this grow?

Had this frag for over a year now, it hasnt done a thing, no matter where I place it. Other sps have moderate growth. Has nice baby blue tips.

Have you tried snipping a few tips??

Scared to. leaves a spot for algea if tissue doesnt cover it. sides, its never even encrusted.

whats your Ca at Trevor?

last I checked, Ca 430. Alk 9 adding 30ml daily of b-ionic 2 part as well. Like I said, other corals are growing ok (not massive growth, but noticeable) this one,nada. Almost like the darn things ceramic. ;)

How often do you move it?

bout every few months.

That is likely part of your problem. Also it looks like an echinata sp. a slow starter but once it gets going it will be out of control.

exactly what I was getting at. Its just one of those species that will drive you nuts but when it takes off it will look awesome
