Questions about Potter's Angel

Anyone had one of these? I know you have ha ha!

Wondering on experiences.... reef friendly or not?

I see pics with them in reef systems.... but read that they are coral eaters. I want one but need more "hands-on info" from you guys.

Thanks!

Marie has a pair of them and if I remember correctly they do pick at her corals.

Just added one to my mixed 170g, he joined the school nice and fast and so far has not touched any coral, I'm sure this will change though. My Coral Beauty did the same thing, I can live with the nipping though.

i have had mine for about a year and have never seen any coral nipping.

My 4 clams went into the zoa tank after my coral beauty took a taste for them, so far so good and they are in with a copperband.

I have had my potters in my 60gal for 8 months with no issues. the tank is a mixed reef with zoa's, sps, some mushrooms and a clam. He has never nipped. The biggest issue with potters is getting them to eat. In all honesty mine rarely takes given food of mysis, ocean plakton or brine. The little guy is as fat and happy as can be. Like all angels, its a risk adding them to a reef set up

Do they do detrimental damage to corals or just certain types... Sps LPS... etc.

They live in a tank that is all sps and the sps seem to cope with the nibbling. I'm pretty sure if left with any lps or clams for long enough and they would kill it
