i don't see the big deal with the XM bulbs i really don't like the color

I agree, but you also have to take into account the camera. If this was film each type of film has different sensitivities to the colour spectrum. If it was digital every cameras' CCD will see light differently then you have the camera's software that will always adjust colour to some degree (input profile). But over all I think this is the best colour comparison on the web. I believe this was shot for RC.

Thanks for the link.
I liked (in no particular order) the CoralVue 10K, AB 10K, and the XM 10K the best.

The PAR of the XM exceeds that of the Iwasaki. I kinda think that may be a typo!!

not a type o at all. it is slightly higher than a iwasaki but only a tru 10K, pulling at close 3rd is the AB but it is a true 13k so it is a little more apealing if you like that ice white look with a tinge of blue.

It's no wonder the Coralvue 10K are generating so much enthusiasm. They compare very well...

The only problem I have with that test is that it was done using the standard PFO ballast. while it is the most commen ballast, it is not the one 3 of thoes bulbs were originaly intended to run on and in fact a 250 radium won't even run off a standard PFO ballast unless you order an aditional starter.

a second note as I compare the PAR values on that page with the ones posted by JB they are all wrong so who ever did this page used the photos and it seam they made up values

He plugged in the numbers from the ARO Electronic Ballast instead of the PFO ballast mentioned on the page.
