Update: April, 2011: Doing well at 3 years in the tank. Fast growing fish. Tail streamers began to develop at about 1.5 years age.

Hard to see in the first photo but did it have blue spots and lines like this?
Is yours actually a Vlamingi?

No. The photo you show is clearly N. vlamingi...not N. unicornis.

Update May, 2012: 4 years in the tank. Horn and streamers both getting longer.

Update May, 2013: 5 years, doing fine.
