WTB: 175w Electronic Ballast + LumenMax 2 + Tunze Osmolator ATO

As the title says. I added that I'm looking for a Tunze Osmolator Auto Top Off as well.

Will buy together or separate. Will pay shipping. Or possibly can pick up in Okanagan of BC, or anywhere between Edmonton and Saskatoon. I travel too much.

Thanks, but I'm looking for a SE setup. :)

mseepman 02-09-2009 04:43 PM

Hey Myka, just because I'm curious, why are you so set on an SE setup? I personally think the DE's do a better job.

Myka 02-10-2009 03:05 AM

SE have less hot spots than DE; more even intensity, SE reflectors are better than DE, and SE cover a larger area than DE (I'm putting it over my 36" 40g tank). I also have the option of over-driving the bulb with an HQI ballast if I choose to later on.

Myka 02-13-2009 06:00 AM

And the search continues...

Hey, is this the "cube" that I picked up for you or the breeder that you already had running?

For the 40g breeder. I have to figure out what I'm doing long-term before I set up that cube, but I think I'm going to put African Cichlids in that tank. Oh so boring to a salt fanatic, I know! ;)

mseepman 02-13-2009 05:24 PM

Agreed...soooo boring

I think that if you wanted to keep costs down, you could do a very nice softie tank, with Ecorox, bare-bottom, a fishneedit.com light and a bubble magus HOB skimmer. Put fish in as you see fit.

I'd be surprised if you spent much less on a Cichlid tank. Especially with all the locals having softies to frag from.

It's just an idea though.
