Filter change time
 

Think its time to change the filter. :smile:

Its from a friends deep well system. Not sure if its just sludge but looks like rust. Whatcha think.

Somebody really cruel would make spaghetti sauce out of that. Pretty nasty looking stuff.

close to that with my ro/di and I'm on City of Edm water.

I had to look didn't I, all I can say is Uwwwww Yuck!

When was the last time he shocked his well. Looks like iron bacteria.

Not sure. Will ask him. Something along the lines of my thoughts. At least its in the filter and not on the other side. Plus the softener he put in has a pre filter system.

Also suggested they shorten up the filter change interval.

If it is iron bacteria, there is not alot you can do but shock the well. If there is a small amount of iron getting through, the softener will take it out (I believe a max of 3 ppm.) Check the tanks of the toilets, if there is alot of iron bacteria it will show up as a brown slimy goo inside the tank. I am in Calgary right now, I will check my books whwn i go back home tomorrow.
