New Process for Joining Canreef
Q: Is there a new step involved in signing up as a member to Canreef? I notice I now have to wait for approval on my account.
A: Yes, due to recent spamming attacks involving porn and commercial advertising links, we have now enforced a policy whereby a new member must have their account authorized before they can post. This will reduce or elliminate the spam posts we've seen lately. Typically an account will be authorized within hours of applying to the board. While we realize this extra step is bothersome, we feel it is needed to ensure that current members do not have to be exposed to questionable material. Canreef Staff |
Good call....although the spam attack on Bulk Reef Supply's forum this morning *did* give me a good sized chuckle this morning :D

was it as "interesting" as the spam on the chemmaster forum ;)
Cheers, Vic |
Oh it was "interesting" ewwwwwwww.......
Good idea...there are several forums that I belong to with the same process. It works well, sometimes I get a bit choked as I want to look NOW...but it usually passes quickly! |
I agree it was interesting this morning, but I do agree with the new policy.

This actually shouldn't affect "looking." Visiting as unlogged-in still allows reading of posts. :) It's only posting privileges that are affected.
