booster pump

just got and setup my booster pump for my aqua safe ro/di unit. i had about 40 psi before and it would take hours to get 5 gallons. now with the booster pump, this baby has produced more ro water in 10 minutes than i use to get in a hour.
one of the best 69 bucks ive spent in awhile.

Where did you buy your booster pump from? I am also looking at getting one as I only have 45psi running though my RO/DI.

Especially when Surrey starts putting everyone on metered water next year it will be a must have, what with all that waste water currently going down the drain! Having higher PSI going through the unit is supposed to hugely impact the ratio of purfied to waste water.

i picked it up from these guys.

How do they operate,(ie do you also need to purchase a pressure switch, a float on a reservoir, or just hook them up to the water line and plug it into a wall)?

he mentioned one of the best $69 he's ever spent though. those are both closer to $100, so which one is it robzilla?

the one i got was not listed on their webpage. thru emailing and calling them, the guy suggested the pump for the 100gph membrane. it comes with the transformer.
its model number pj-v 6010.
i've got mine setup in the basement kitchen and unplug the unit when done. he did ask about if i had it setup on a auto topup unit, where he mentioned i could have the pump setup on a timer and ...

Potential Group Buy?

Anyone else interested in a little group buy? I'm looking to get a booster for my RO/DI and this one sounds like just the item at a decent price!

If we can get two or three people even, it would save us some $$ on the shipping costs.

i may be interested but i need to research how it works more. i'm not sure how i would get it to shut off when i my sump and mixing bucket are full, currently i have an ASOV on the RO unit and a float valve in my sump and mixing bucket, but if the unit is electrical i dont know how it would work with my setup. i'll let you know if i do decide, if its not too late
