Enough of family day... it's a weak reason for a holiday at best. What eats at me about Remembrance Day is the fact that it's not a statutory for everyone coast to coast. That should change.

OH FOR SURE!!! Totally agree with this point, more and more it seems to me that people are forgetting what Rememberance Day is all about.

I guess it will all depend who you work for, in most cases, the employee will be entitled to the day. I have found many employers don't recognize many days that should be recognized. A very good example is one employer I had would not give Rememberance Day... Now that being said, I was entitled, and finally proved it to them. I guess the problem is many employers don't know, and many employees don't either.
