 True enough, thanks deacon and fish for all your help, I'll wait and see what happens (I'd take another picture, but there really isn't any point at the moment, my camara just can' handle close ups). Maybe in a month or two we should be able to solve this mystery!!

LOL sorry fer showing too much interest in this,i like weird things like this! If its yellow polyps that would suck!

aquariumgirl 09-09-2005 05:00 AM

hehe, thats okay deacon, I'm very curious what they'll turn out to be. I'm almost positive they are sun corals too, but b/c I'm so new at this I have to leave room for errors. Ah, well. I think this is what makes reefing so much fun; finding things you've never seen and trying to guess what it is. It seem like everytime I look at my tank there's something new and I look at my tank a lot!! I thought I loved the hobby of FW keeping, but now reefing has become more than that, my BF thinks it's an obsession, haha.

deacon hemp 09-10-2005 12:49 AM

Oh it is an obsession for sure! :) and that how i started too with freshwater setups. I still remember the dude at king ed's pets telling me i was crazy for setting up a 18 gallon with MH lighting like 4 years ago! LOL

Im still sticking to my story as they are baby suncorals! lol :)

aquariumgirl 09-12-2005 02:02 AM

Haha, me too. And some more proof they are suncorals, I was looking under one of the rocks and I found a bunch more, see if you can see them all! They look orange!! And just a reminder, I don't have zoom so this is as good as it gets, sorry.

Almost looks like aptasia...

aquariumgirl 09-14-2005 06:54 AM

Haha, I guess that picture sorta makes it look like an aptasia, doesn't it? I'm 99.99% positive that's a sun coral (I hope the other 0.01% doesn't prove me wrong  )

deacon hemp 09-15-2005 07:13 AM

Totally sun corals ....they are popping up on undersides that would be a postive match, cant wait to see them when they grow up...

Tanks are looking great. I just started up a 20 gallon in addition to my 5 gallon nano. I have 5 sexies in my 5 gallon and they are great little shrimps... they sometimes bug my mushrooms though.

Good luck on the baby sun corals, i LOVE those guys. Been waiting to find some decent ones around here.
