Just kidding of course. My son didn't sleep through the night until 18 months. I'm pretty sure I could survive a zombie apocalypse easily after dealing with that sh*t.

I have a girlfriend who's 3 year old still won't sleep through the night. She said he's made it through the night twice. In 3 years. OMG...

It's actually quite amazing how sleep deprevation affects you. After long periods wihtout sleep the symptoms you experience can mimic those who are addicts looking for their next fix and in some cases people who are intoxicated, loss of balance, poor problem solving skills, poor cognitive function, etc.

Here in Alberta when we do the daylight savings time the "spring ahead" - where we lose an hour of sleep the suicide rates go up. The "fall back" - where we gain an extra hour - risk of heart attack decreases dramatically.

my 4 year old was sleeping through the night at 3 months. when he was 1 or so he would go down at 7 730 and up at 8 or 9. like daddy

Nothing against buying local, but ..... PM me if you like
I didn't find what I liked so I contacted my LFS and they brought in what I wanted.

Personally if I had to buy a controller new it would be the Apex Full system. Pretty much all the bells & whistles for around $500.

a ton of glass is close, I figure I have around 1000 gal worth of tanks.

Stop over thinking thing, told you that before it makes it very hard to get things done. :twised:

i know i know... i cant help it its my last build i want as close to perfection as i can get. other than other ppls tanks in future. just cant take as long with them lol

gregzz4 05-01-2012 05:59 AM

To be honest, although the Apex is a great system, I found it lacking in some control areas, so I decided to take a chance with DA.
Maybe I'm crazy, but $ to $, it works best for me. Only time will tell.
Maybe you'll see me here a year from now selling all my DA stuff

Stupid thing is, I can still smell the air in Cancun hotel lobby. I guess it's the chlorine when I go to the LFS.

I smelled it when I was out shopping today .. forget where I was .. that clean, chlorine smell in the air .. I .. was .. somewhere .. can't quite remember where I was .. wasn't the public pool .. wasn't the LFS .. wait, is that the sea ? is that what a pool next to the ocean smells like .....

OK, it's been 4 years since we went away, so I'm going MAD :silly:

I feel like quitting my job and opening up my own dayhome.

Our third childcare provider in the last 3 months has quit on me. I don't get it. Every single one of them LOVED my son.

Why is life so hard sometimes??

Flash 05-02-2012 06:55 PM

You've never met my cats!! Names are Razor n Chaos and for good reason. my black cat razor hates my bestfriend (who has known him since he was a kitten) and is always hissing and swating at him. I used to have this huge 8ft cat post and razor would sit on the top and swat people as they walked by lol i would be to worried about him hurting someone, not a good way to KEEP fish friends

Flash 05-02-2012 07:53 PM

goalie pads and a garden sprayer!!!

VENTING: what ticks me off more then anything is people that say they will be somewhere at a certain time and show an hour later... like last night with the frag order... i said no later then 9:30 and that i'd be in bed as i am sick. 9:30 comes, my wife puts the frags in my tank so they live and heads to bed as last I heard he'd be there @ 9:10pm.... 10:20pm comes around, everyone in the house is in bed, lights are all off and the kid comes and rings the doorbell anyway, wakes up my wife and roommate(as i am out like a light on meds). WTF IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE.....my wife then had to go re-bag all the frags and the kid didn't even say thank you, just muttered something and walked away. anyway i was supposed to pick up a coral for this kid tomorrow, but had to go today instead, still haven't heard back from the guy regarding his shipment or a thank you or anything.... so i sent him an e-mail and a pm stating if he's not here by 8:00pm tonight i now own the coral and he will get his $10 back. NOT COOL DUDE... and I will not do business with you again (as I know you will read this)

anyway people... if you say you are going to be somewhere... BE THERE... if your cell phone dies and you're an hour late and all the lights are off in the house... don't go ringing doorbells... or knock on the neighbors door becuz you can't remember what house it is (thanks for that btw you woke up their 2 kids)

UGH........ sorry... when I am sick i get bitchy....er.. then normal... but seriously... no common sense at all... no courtesy for others. END RANT...

Nano 05-03-2012 01:09 AM

What? That's ridiculous. I don't blame you for being ticked that's rude of them. +1 to you for keeping your cool I would've chewed him/her out

Flash 05-03-2012 01:11 AM

that vent was me chewing him out... and i sent him a PM as well.... i don't have much spare time.. i had cut off @ 8 for a reason... let him have til 9:30 as a favor then he pulls this crap.... NU UH.... not cool.
