Had the same thing happen, it was a red sea max and he jumped through the 1/2" gap at the top to land in the back compartment. He did it 3 times in the first week then I found him in the electical compartment a couple days later...he was on a suicide mission!

jorjef 04-26-2012 04:57 PM

When my son called up from the basement saying there was a fish on the floor I didn't have to guess twice on which one... When I released him into the tank see spent about a minute swimming back and forth along the glass at the top of the tank, I knew this was not a good sign...

72 hours, 3 hours of sleep, strangely I am not tired, I want to stay up and change diapers... Better crash before I end up going bat $&*# crazy! :drinking::drinking::drinking:

bonus however, little miss loves the tanks, the lights and the colors make her shut up and go goo goo eyes :P

Take it easy folks!

gregzz4 04-27-2012 05:57 AM

Night Kenny

My wife just asked me to show her a photo spread of all the critters I want in our new 75g
Hmmm, I hadn't had much of a plan, but of course I want to do it right
I want a mixed reef with, of course, a nem and a clown or 2, one clown is ok, but I like both the orange and the black ones. A Picasso would be Really nice.
I could go on ...
Guess I have some planning to do now that the build is almost done

I know the feeling. Holding your newborn (or even when they are almost 4), there's no better feeling.

Before Felicia was born, Irene wanted me to shut down all my tanks to make more room (and money) for the baby. I made her a deal that if the new baby didn't like fish/corals, I would consider it. Hahahaha. Safest bet in the world. Both my girls love to look at the fish and corals.

Enjoy this time my friend.

Here's two of my fav. songs to play for my girls & me.

Darius Rucker: It won't be like this for long.

Bob Carlisle: Butterfly Kisses

yeah its pretty surreal thats for sure! little one slept for 5 hours last night, only woke up to poop and feed, then back to sleep... I feel alive today! lol

Try Nyquil.

Just kidding of course. My son didn't sleep through the night until 18 months. I'm pretty sure I could survive a zombie apocalypse easily after dealing with that sh*t.

I have a girlfriend who's 3 year old still won't sleep through the night. She said he's made it through the night twice. In 3 years. OMG...

It's actually quite amazing how sleep deprevation affects you. After long periods wihtout sleep the symptoms you experience can mimic those who are addicts looking for their next fix and in some cases people who are intoxicated, loss of balance, poor problem solving skills, poor cognitive function, etc.

Here in Alberta when we do the daylight savings time the "spring ahead" - where we lose an hour of sleep the suicide rates go up. The "fall back" - where we gain an extra hour - risk of heart attack decreases dramatically.

I'm with ya on points 1 and 3

As for point 2 ...
I did the same first buy mistake - Xmas sale.

I'll use the RKL on my QT and bought an RKE for the DT. I cashed in my change jar, sold a chiller and got a couple bucks back from taxes.

It's only money and you can't take it with you
