Yep, love the new clam. I'd consider one myself but the imperator angel would probably eat it.:twised:

I did spot that immediately haha. I chose to show some maturity...or maybe I was using my phone on the pooper and it was too much hassle to post.

Definitely going to be a centerpiece.. Tank looks great (man that must get old hearing that.. hahaha)

Strange how sometimes, some corals are so delicate and other times they seem so bulletproof....

Thanks bud......you know......it doesn't get old:mrgreen:

first thing I noticed about it is, it is heavy.....very solid feeling skimmer....i think you could probably hit this thing with a truck.....the ER that the BK is replacing has a 5.5" diameter body and the neck tapers down to 4.5"....the BK has a 6.5" diameter body that tapers to 5.5".....the BK also has a bubble plate and a drain hole drilled in the collection cup....the pump is housed inside the skimmer body which makes for a tiny footprint...very impressed:biggrin:

I ran it in my kitchen sink full of just water and vinegar for a few hours last night.....this thing even produced a decent foam head in the sink!!!:surprise:

I swapped it in this morning and left the drain plug open fearing it may go haywire and overflow while I was work today, but came home to a nice thick head and some dry skimate already(had it adjusted to skim dry)......very impressed and happy so far....

Very nice Doug very nice! I see EVERYTHING is coming before the skinning of the stand =) The weight is mostly due to those pumps...they're like thick bricks. Bricks that make hella nice bubbles!

Nice skimmer! I wish I could share a beer with my skimmer (3rd pic).

I'd read that the BKs and other high end skimmers arent over rated and you should take the manufactures rating for what it is....cost was a factor too....not a ton of spare cash to throw at things like this....and then there's the g/f factor.....
