ouch. Sorry to hear man! Yeah this hobby really sucks sometimes.

Dave, tell me more about this glass/polyethelene hybrid thing. You've piqued my curiosity. Love the drop-off idea.....

Sorry to hear that Dave. Maybe you should install a UPS battery backup to your controller. I have a APC unit on my digital aquatics unit and it (the ups) sends me an email should the power go off and it be running on battery power. The unit can also send you an email when the power has been restored accordingly.

Your high end SPS tank sounds nice.

just curious what the gallons would be on that?

Read through the whole thread only to end off with terrible news. I guess the only consolation here is that you were already moving ahead on this epic Man Cave. Keep it moving, this setup is very unique and I cant wait to see it come together.

Ok now i am done with my little rant, damn this hobby sucks some times

That really sucks

My GFCI kept tripping radomly for months took me forever to figure it out. Eventually I discovered a faulty heater that I hadn't realized was plugged in. Since I've removed the heater everything's been running smoothly.

Thank-fully I was running a small Nova battery back up unit (got it at Canadian tire) so it kept a few power heads running for water movement and luckily the tank temp never dropped to much before I would notice.

Shitty dude.

My power also went out while I was in Edmonton last week. Lost an anemone. I have a UPS but it died after a couple of hours.

All fish are still ok.
