i was just about to goto bed when i heard my skimmer pump stop.... and well i took it out and cleaned it and i think its shot..... anyone have a sedra ksp5000 for sale..... ahhhhhhhh dam... its too late for this crap... |
well the pump fairy must have stopped by last night because somehow my pump is working today,,,, you gotta love when they fix themselves. not only that it seem sto be injecting more air.... well knock on wood...

Next time you do a skimmer cleaning take apart the pump and check the magnet on the impeller. Sedra's are one of the kind where the heat of constant use causes them to swell up and eventually they lose their shape from being a perfect cylinder to something that bulges out a little making it a tiny bit egg shaped. If you notice any deformities you'll have your answer. Luckily they do sell replacement impellers. I noticed I got about 18 months out of an impeller when I had Sedra pumps in use.
