Been trying really hard not to let a douche bag, low life, pond scum, lying agent ruin my last 2 days, but man what a prick.....not a reefer or anyone on this site...don't understand why some folks need to behave the way they do. Life's too short, seriously.

organizing a massive frag order is stressful.... i need a vacation!

Nano 03-17-2012 03:00 AM

I hope the new sps I get next weekend survives. My calcium is a 340 so I'm bringing it up with seachem reef advantage calcium. Bit by bit. Hopefully that was the cause of the sps death not some unforseen problem

Flash 03-17-2012 03:05 AM

Ive never done a big frag order, but I have done a large frag swap/BBQ..... well a couple actually, but the big one was about 20 people.....I remember it being stressful.....mainly because I was in a small house at the time and was counting on good weather so the majority of the people could be outside.....as it turned out I stressed for nothing....it ended up being 30 degrees that day.... but it was a lot of work

SeaHorse_Fanatic 03-17-2012 04:40 AM

I've organized several group buys in the past or just had them shipped to me since I work at home. Yes, way more work than most people realize. My biggest one was for almost $7000 worth of RODI units and my entire front area/living room was filled to the top with boxes of filters, resin, tanks, and units. It took a couple of days at least for people to slowly come by to pick them up and my wife was not pleased at how big a space everything took up. The crazy part is I didn't even place an order. I was only doing it cause a friend asked me to and then it seemed like every local reefer decided to jump in as well.

Flash 03-17-2012 04:55 AM

i should post the spread sheet my other half had to make up to keep track of these orders... it's insane!!! lol!

keep looking in my tank expecting the death to be back to normal. looks like I experience my first mini tank crash today. all the fish survived lost some sps, but the montis look like they have a few cells left that could come back. heres to hoping!:drinking::drinking::drinking:

Flash 03-18-2012 02:54 AM

not 100% sure. I decided to add calcium to the tank cause its been at 340 for the as 6 months, then today its 460, corals are bleached inverts dying.. not sure if that what it was, but I did a 25% WC and am doing one more tomorrow, nothings open at the moment, but the fish are all fine.. damn I hope the corals recover

Might have been to much calcium added at once.

Nano 03-18-2012 04:13 AM

I'm thinking so. I added the recommended amount, but thats to buffer the CA to 440-460 now if my CA was only slightly low, say 400 it wouldnt have been so harsh, but with it down in the mid to low 300's its a big jump overnight. anyhow no more dosing for me for a while. "Go slow, let it grow" that should get tattooed on my forehead:lol:

Nano 03-18-2012 05:46 AM

after a rough day, this actually put a smile on my face knowing I'm not the most incompetent thing on this earth ;)
