I like how it keeps track of your Pods. That is a really amazing sensor!

I'm still learning about it, but so far I've got the online graphing function working. I just need some more time to set up the alarm system and link it to my phone.

So far the only things I need that aren't available are a dKH/alkalinity probe, and Calcium probe. Then everything would be perfect.

I've definitley got the graphing part down. I still however haven't gotten around to setting up the alarm system. Per the instructions all the probes have to be in use for one week and then re-calibrated so that explains the high Salinity and low pH, or at least I hope it explains the low pH.

These are all from this morning.

Here is a screen shot of my initial log in options;

The two 'errors' aren't actually errors, they're are just no probes plugged in at those points.

The shots from the controller are very cool. Your tank is looking great too.

Your ORP graph looks the same as mine every time I recalibrate the probe. It seems that ORP probes take quite a while to stabilize after calibration, so I doubt that your actual ORP is rising like that...it is just the probe.

Can you alter the scale of your pH graph so that you can better see the fluctuations? I'm thinking a scale of between 7.0 and 9.0...or 7.5 to 9.0. The Aquatronica graph function can do that, but won't hold the setting so you need to reset the scale every time...very annoying.

OK, I give up....what is % Pods measuring?

...and don't hold your breath for a Ca/Alk probe!

Delphinus 10-13-2009 09:43 PM

I'm wondering about the pods charting thing too??

Delphinus 10-13-2009 09:45 PM

I don't think there will ever be an Alk probe. If you can figure out how to make one though, you could probably get a PhD out of it. :)

michika 10-13-2009 11:42 PM

I have to wait one more day, probably two, to re-calibrate both the ORP and the pH. I wish I knew how to change the scale, but I'm not overtly adept at it. I can import the data to another program, like Excel, but I'm not sure how to import data that isn't properly separated.

I can dream about an Alk probe! At least the test isn't overtly complicated or time consuming, so I can live if it never happens. I could definitely do with a PhD!

Pods are sets of two light LEDs that are part of the RKE system. The RKE simulates a lunar cycle, which is why you're seeing that repetitively decreasing pattern in the graph.

I'm bored and learning how to use my iPhone for things that are a bit more practical, like work, so I'm using the tank as my test subject.
