they are purple queens.....a customer brought in a trio of them and said he had them for about a year and a half....I couldnt resist.....my group of chromies didnt care for them too much at first introduction and one of them ended up a CCC (crispy carpet critter)....so now I have two

Unfortunately cute potter angel has eaten most of the zoas in Doug's tank  Pretty sure those ones became fish food.

Zoaelite 03-06-2013 01:14 AM

Pygmies are a love hate relationship for me, loved my potters, golden, flameback and beauty but they all ended up nipping.

Much happier after I made the decision to permanently ditch them in the zoa only tank.

Those pics were taken about 5 months ago, I told him to post them back then but he wanted to "stager" them. Most of those corals have doubled in size now and sadly those pretty bam bam zoas are almost non-existent cause his potters angel ate them.

Delphinus 04-25-2013 05:30 AM

Things look great mang!!

lastlight 04-25-2013 06:16 AM

Yes, how come? Don't you know there are others here who need their clam fix.
I knew I liked her for a good reason! She buys clams for you! You're spoiled.

These photos will be considered "fresh enough" for about a period of 1 week. After that all bets are off.

+1 and thank-you. I managed to get to Neal's store early enough that I was able to pick up the nicest clam out of the bunch for Doug

Here's a pic I just took, the colour shows a bit better in it

fishytime 05-07-2013 04:17 AM

so I added a TIR lense to one of the radions on the end of the tank.....you cant really see any difference looking at the tank, but when you sit on the couch and look up at the bottom of the fixtures you sure can see the difference.....definitely brighter.....I have a second lens kit for the other end of the tank that I havent installed yet out of laziness, but I am impressed so I will likely pick up two more kits and do them all.....now as for whether or not the corals will be impressed remains to be seen......
